California Trip

Here we are getting ready to leave on our trip to California. We flew airplanes and it was fun other than Erica had a really hard time with her ears and sleeping.










We liked going to the beach. It was really nice and warm and sometimes hot during our whole trip.

Here we are at Lego Land. We had a lot of fun. We liked looking at all the Legos and riding the many rides.

Here we are on a quite, relaxing boat ride. Erica could not ride very many rides and when she did, she liked crawling all over them. Luckily, there were no seatbelts and no one seemed to mind.

We liked riding all the roller coasters. Suprisingly, the lines to them were the shortest of all the rides, especially if you wait till the end of the day when everyone goes home.

Erica did not do much during Lego Land. She sat in her car seat or walked around while we took turns taking McKay on rides.

We also went to the Birch Aquarium in San Diego and enjoyed the fishys. We watched a show there of these divers cleaning the tank and feeding the fish. It was very fascinating, but too many people and McKay had to sit on my lap on the floor for 1/2 hour. Ouch, my bum was sore.

Grandma and Grandpa came for 1/2 of the trip and were a big help to us. Kory ended up with a stomach bug and was in bed for a day, so we decided to go to the beach. It was too cold for the water but we played in the sand.

Erica is ready for her nap. We made a sand volcano and made sand prints on it.

We liked Lego Land so much that we went another day. This time we took Grandma with us and Kory and Dad went off to look at an aircraft carrier museum.

We had a great trip and just stayed in the condo and relaxed a lot. It was nice to spend time as a family and not have the pressures of jobs and other things getting in the way. It was hard to come home to the cold weather and our daily lives.
