CHRISTMAS VACATION
This year for Christmas, we went back home to Southern Utah. We had lots of family there at first with Jared and Michelle, Julie and Leif, us, Mom and Dad, and Charles and Stephanie. It was crazy and very loud but lots of fun.

The next popular spot of the house. We really enjoyed Mom's cooking.
We took the younger kids to a chicken and pig farm in Hurricane.
Chase, McKay, and McKay's cousin Ronnie went in search for chicken eggs but could not find any.
McKay on the tractor.
After the chickens, we went with a lady who owns the farm and Kory's Dad to feed some pigs. It was quite an experience. The pigs were super hungry and greedy and loud. I think the kids had a good time but when the lady who owns the farm asked McKay if he wanted to be a farmer when he grows up, he right away said "NO." Chase liked trying to pet the pigs.
The pigs happily eating their food.
Erica had a hard time on this trip. She cried a lot and had a hard time taking her naps which added to the problem. She did make new discoveries though in regards to finding new spots to climb and crawl into. She finally learned to crawl down the stairs by herself on Grandpa and Grandma's stairs.
Christmas time.
McKay and Erica got lots a fun toys this year. Erica liked climbing the boxes more than playing with the toys.
What a mess.
I think Dad and Mom had a good Christmas also.
After opening presents at Mom and Dad's, we headed over to Kory's parents' home and opened even more gifts. Good thing we brought our truck down to carry all the presents back.
Erica liked the ear muffs probably the best.
Opening gifts and visiting with family.

We had a lot of fun heading back home and stayed for Christmas and New Years. We visited with lots of family and friends. As we headed back home we stopped and stayed with some old friend's from Boise who now live in Highland.

Thanksgiving and Christmas
Kory leaving to go camping with the scouts in the rain.
McKay's parade of cars, trucks, and trains.
Here is our first snowfall. It melted pretty fast but McKay got to go and run around in it for a little while.
Thanksgiving time. Kory's parents and sister came up from Southern Utah to enjoy Thanksgiving with us. It worked out well but a lot of work for Sharese since she hasn't made Thanksgiving dinner for a long time. We always go to someone else's house. It was really great to have them come up and spend time with us.

Pumpkins, Halloween, and Cement
On a hay ride around the pumpkin farm.
There were pumpkins everywhere.
McKay got to choose his own pumpkin.
Kory got to work on another project last Saturday. He poured cement outside our two garage doors. Dad was there to supervise.
The cement looked really well after Kory was done. He spent all day doing it and ended up very sick that day and the next with the flu.
Our early and probably only Christmas present arrived. We needed a new printer very badly.
Halloween time. McKay dressed up as a horse and Erica a puppy. They had a halloween parade at the park where the parents sat in chairs and handed out candy to all the kids as they walked around the park. There were hundreds of them and the candy went fast. Afterwards McKay and Kory went around the neighborhood for more trick-or-treating while I handed out candy to the 50 or so kids that came to the house. McKay ended up bringing home about half of what we gave out at the park and at home.
