Before Christmas Pics

We got our first major snowfall the middle of December. It was fun to play in but very cold.

The snow was too powdery to make a snowman but we were able to build a snow castle with some buckets. The snow is not as fun to play in when you have a big belly like mine and can't do much.

Kory and I went to the temple and got McKay his very first babysitter to come to the house and watch him. No, it wasn't Chase. Hailey was the one and Chase wanted to join in on the fun.

Our great babysitter.

Eating out.

An ornament McKay got in his Kidsmeal.

Hard to see but Kory has a crown on one of his top teeth that has had a crack in it for years. Well just our luck the tooth chipped off and Kory needed to get it replaced. It was an unexpected Christmas present costing $400.00 even with the insurance paying half of it. OUCH!!!

McKay at playgroup. We went to the church and played red light green light and ate snacks and played with balls.

Most of the kids brought their bikes. They played with those most of all and had a lot of fun chasing and following each other. When I told Kory that we were supposed to bring McKay's bike to playgroup to ride in the Church Gym, Kory was not very happy and said that that was why when he went to play basketball that the floors are so bad.

Christmas time

Here is our tree this year.

My little village above our fireplace.

My wooden block manger scene.

Our noisy train under the tree.

Cute McKay.

These are the last of our vacation pictures. We helped clean up leaves one morning. McKay had a lot of fun. However, the next day there were about the same number of leaves that had fallen as we had picked up.

Thanksgiving Vacation

Dad putting Kory to work on more fountains. Kory was the happiest on this trip when he was doing manual labor.

Mom also put Kory to work and had him climb the mountain and pull down some dead trees. Kory got really into it.

Dad helped also. A good supervisor.

Kory pulled most of them down with a rope and a rock but then at the end used a saw.

At the Grandma and Grandpa Hall home. This is McKay's favorite toy there, marbles.

Thanksgiving time!!!! Charles and the boys building with the toys.

Thanksgiving vacation

McKay and Jefferson played together all the time and ran around and played outdoors. They had a lot of fun together.

Leif and Julie and family rode their four-wheelers to the Thanksgiving feast. They let Kory and McKay have a little ride in the dark before they left for home.

There they go.
We helped Grandma and Grandpa put up Christmas Decor after Thanksgiving was over. We had a lot of fun.
McKay took a friend to the new penguin moving called Happy Feet. This is his friend Craig who is the son of one of my best friends from High School.

The day before we left we went with Leif and Julie and their family on a four-wheeler trek. We drove on some fun trails around Grandma and Grandpa's house. We went all over mountains, rivers, rocks, and bridges and had a lot of fun. We even got Grandpa to ride one. He had fun also and did really well probably from all those riding lawn movers he has had over the years, this was just a bit faster.

Fun with Courtney

Courtney was on her track break for November, so I took her and McKay to Carl's Jr. They had a lot of fun. Afterwards we went to a pet shop to look at the animals. McKay loves to look at the hampsters running on their wheels.

We are putting McKay to work. He likes to wash the dishes.

------------We are leaving to go out of town back home for Thanksgiving. We will update our blog with all our pictures from home when we get back------------

Train

A few weeks ago we went on a train ride. The train is about 45 minutes away from Boise in Horseshoe Bend. This train ride was 30 minutes long and stopped at a pumpkin patch where we could pick out 1 pumpkin each and then the ride back.
Here is the train that we rode on.

Arriving at the pumpkin patch.

McKay had fun but was a little on the wild side and did not sit still at all and unfortunately got bored pretty quick.

This is a picture of the train station when we first arrived.

Trains and Halloween

Searching for the perfect pumpkins.

I can only handle carrying the little ones.

We found our pumpkins!

Having a little snack on the way back!

The front of the train.

McKay has a new found love. He really likes to color with markers and then cuts the paper up into strips with his handy safety sissors. They were going to be a Christmas present but he found them early. He also loves putting stickers on paper. He has become quite creative and even holds his markers correctly now.

We took 2 of our train pumpkins and carved them for Halloween. Kory spent a couple hours doing this and made them look really great.

Here is McKay all dressed up for Halloween. He went as Bob the Builder. We headed out to our Ward's Trunk-or-Treat first and then Kory and McKay went over to Jared and Michelle's and went with them and Chase out in their neighborhood. It was a really cold night (in the low 30s) so it was not too much fun this year because of the cold weather.

Even though it was cold, McKay did really well this year and ended up with tons of candy.

Birthday, New Truck, & Jazz

My Birthday landed on Sunday this year so we celebrated it yesterday (Saturday). Kory bought me a keyboard to try and learn the piano again for the 3rd time or so.

Eating my B-day dinner at Chuck-a-Rama.

Kory has always wanted a truck for as long as I have known him. They had some great deals on Tundra Trucks at Toyota so we decided it was time. We went there and ended up with owning one. They gave us a great deal because they are trying to get rid of them to make room for the new Tundra next year that is supposed to look completely different. So for my birthday we bought Kory a truck.

Kory and McKay a few weeks ago went to the Jazz training camp free game they have every year up here in Boise. McKay got bored of it quite quickly and him and Kory spent most of the time in the bathroom because McKay frequently would announce he needed to go, probably to get out of sitting there at the game and doing something else.
